Hi all Montogmery County, MD anglers. I have decided to try and update you as much as I can with regards to where the fish are.
6-29-2010 6:30 PM-8:00 PM I caught a 19 inch, 4.5 lb bass in the pond off of Lakelands Blvd. In total we caught six small to medium large mouth bass off the top using poppers. I used a chrome colored popper with a red face.
6-30-20106:45 PM to 8:45 PM Lake Varuna. I hooked a huge bass that I was unable to land. To my surprise at 20 feet from shore it jumped out of the water in the opitomy of bass action we love and broke the line. My guess is 4-5 lbs. He fought much harder thn the big bass I caught the day before. It got away with my brand new Magnum chrome popper. I loved that lure.
7-1-2010 7:00AM -8:00 AMLittle Lake Seneca. Loads of swells and basslike activity. No bites. It feels like this lake has been fished out. No matter what I throw in there I rarely get any bites. I think the local ponds are better right now.
