Hi Ray!

I'm sorry to trouble you but I ran across your blog and you seem well versed in Facebook lore, hence the reason for my email.

I just recently created a business profile on FB and thought it might be helpful to add my local real estate professionals as friends. After locating a number of these names on an associate's page, I began sending "friend requests". Perhaps this was a 'bad idea'?

However, a window popped up shortly thereafter and announced I was "abusing the system and was being blocked from adding additional friends". The disclaimer advises one can be blocked for hours or even days.

I did not see any notice in Terms of Service/Use where adding/asking for friends in any quantity violated the FB Policies. There also seems to be NO WAY to communicate with the management or staff at FB to learn details or explain why I was diligently pursuing so many folks.

Nothing on the forum boards helps (just a long list of others complaining about this same feature).

Is there anything that can be done to overcome or circumvent this "blocking"?

Any thoughts would be much appreiciated!
