VAL VISTA LAKES CLUBHOUSE GILBERT AZ NIFTY FIFTY CLUB
The Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse in Gilbert AZ has many activities for residents of all ages, from the children's swim team to the Nifty Fifty Club for residents who have reached the age of 50 years.
The Val Vista Lakes Nifty Fifty's are a self supported volunteer group that provides social, entertainment, and educational activities for it's members, as well as supporting the Val Vista Lakes community with volunteer activities.
We also support a local charity called the House of Refuge at Williams Field, Mesa, AZ. This charity helps people who have lost everything, to get back on their feet and back into the work place.
At Christmas time the Val Vista Lakes Nifty Fifty's provide two volunteers nightly to staff the concession stand selling hot chocolate, cider and cookies to residents and the public who attend our spectacular Christmas light display on Holiday Mountain. Two more volunteers greet people as they enter the gate.
Two years ago, we began working together with 3 Val Vista Lakes sub-communities to provide the Christmas Holiday Luminary Night and Hayride. It's been a huge success.
We also provide volunteers to play Santa Claus, and drivers for the clubhouse boat to take visitors on boat ride tours.
Some of our members serve on various Val Vista Lakes Committees and the Val Vista Lakes Board of Directors.
The Nifty Fifty Club is a not for profit organization, and in return for our volunteer work, the Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse provides us with meeting rooms, card tables, and storage space.
We meet once a month for a pot luck dinner at the clubhouse; once a month for dinner at a restaurant; and participate in various other activities during the year.
The video below was taken at a recent dinner at Ramona's Macaroni Grill. We've eaten there many times before and can report that the food is delicious, and the service is excellent.
