The Unemployment Benefits and Tax Extenders bill failed last night.

One provision everyone (in the mortgage business) was watching was the extension of the funding date for Homebuyer Tax Credit from June 30^th to September 30^th.

With the failure of the bill, this extension dies as well.

Without further action (which is unlikely) the tax credit will expire with fundings on June 30^th (except for military service waiver).

I am hoping this will still get threw. guess we are in a wait and see mode.
