Royal Oak Township Hits Center Stage
A positive news story broke this week about metro Detroit real estate.  We investors have a hard time paying too close attention to the media because they love to report negative news.  When we heard this though, it was definitely a story to be shared with all of you.
Sometime this fall, ground will be broken on a 30 million dollar condominium project in Royal Oak Township.  The median price per unit will be $160,000, which far exceeds the average price of a home in the township.  They will be creating their own market by offering new, trendy units, comparable in size and quality to its sister city Royal Oak, at a fraction of the price.
It's true that we are the Macomb REIA, but we all know that Macomb and Oakland Counties are heavy reflections on each other.
Another positive metro Detroit real estate news story broke in Crain's Detroit around a month ago.  We made mention of it at the last REIA event, so we apologize if we are repeating ourselves.  In the 5 county area surrounding Detroit proper there are 5 major retail and residential projects totaling over 1 billion dollars.  That's right, Billion with a capital B.
So the REIA challenges all of you out there to send in via e-mail your positive real estate related stories from the last couple of months.  We want to share them with the rest of the club, county, state, and country, to start a new public opinion about metro Detroit.

Augusts Pre-Foreclosure Equity Extravaganza
Quinn grew up on Chicago’s Southside the youngest of 8 kids. After selling real estate and originating mortgage loans for 8 years, Quinn took a class called ‘smart foreclosure buying’. Stumbling into his first deal, he became
amazed at the opportunity to build wealth while simultaneously helping distressed home owners.
Over the next 6 years, Quinn employed a unique system he pioneered allowing him to complete 112 preforeclosure transactions. By 2003 word had spread and Quinn started receiving requests to teach his investing system to aspiring real estate investors. Since then he has shared his system with hundreds of investors all across America.

There is a high level of excitement within this group. The ultimate goal of the Macomb REIA is to provide a common ground for people of all walks of real estate to help each other's businesses grow. Be sure to sign up for our weekly updates here. Also, add Dylan@REIAofMacomb.com to your contacts to ensure that our newsletter doesn't get sorted into your junk mail folder.

A message from the founders:
The REIA of Macomb was founded with one principle in mind above all else: to create a group that each and every member has an active hand in, and in turn those very same members will benefit equally. This is our group, so let's grow and learn together!
