. . . . . Sports. Americans like real estate. Investors can't get enough of it, in good times and bad. Ordinary people with ordinary incomes save and dream of that vacation home or small investment. It's great to be a Realtor in this country. People are genuinely excited about your product.
The same for sports. Used to be that Soccer was a sport played in Europe and South America and generated little interest here. After all, Americans have so many other sports to occupy concentrate on: Baseball, Basketball, Football, Hockey, professional and college. This appears to be changinig. The first 14 matches of the World Cup as seen on ESPN and ABC have delivered an average of 3.35 million viewers, which is a 64 percent increase from the same period in 2006.
The USA-England match, which ended in a tie on June 12, drew 13 million viewers to ABC, making it the most-watched first round World Cup game in U.S. broadcast history.
As a Realtor and Sports Fan, it's been a busy time for me.
