East Lake is an area of Atlanta, considered intown, rich in history and fine homes. Built in the early 1900's, the East Lake Golf Club, a course Bobby Jones grew up playing on, has played host to the best golfers and famous tournaments over the years. An elite neighborhood of homes sprung up around the course that housed many of Atlanta's socialites.
Today, with the regentrification of urban neighborhoods, East Lake has again become one of "the" areas to live, work, and play in Atlanta.
