THERE ARE NO MAGIC WORDS. THE KEY TO MARKETING IS CONSISTENCY...

By

I read an interesting post this morning...

It was titled "Finally!!! I Found A Door Drop Flier That Worked!" and written by Karen Fiddler out in Mission Viejo California.

It was featured on Active Rain.  After reading it, I found myself somewhat torn...

In the post, Karen writes that she had apparently found a marketing piece that worked.  It was a list of what Karen brings to the table as an agent.  She shares the words in her post...

While I am pleased that she found success in her marketing and am happy she may have inspired a few more Realtors to give print marketing a try...

I am still somewhat hesitant...

I don't care if Shakespeare handles your marketing...

There are no magic words.  The key to marketing is consistency.

Hi Ken -- I agree that consistency is key. But, Karen's focus on letting people know the benefit she brings to them is very smart.

Ken - that is great that she found something that works for her. I will still have to agree with you that consistency is the name of the game.

Hi Ken,

The best marketing piece not sent out consistently, won't work....

Trudge on, focus, consistency wins every time!

Best regards,

Ken,

I agree that the only silver bullet in this arena is consistency and to treat others as you would like to be treated.

Hi Ken, I agree that consistently providing "something" is what works over time, but variety is the spice of life and that "something" needs to consistently catch attention.  Its helpful to me to have ideas that work for someone shared so I can develop that "something" for my area.  In this case, it certainly does not hurt to remind people what will be done for them. Nice to know it got results, too!

Hi Bruce, Don, Judi, Tammie, Robert, Deborah and Lottie.  Thanks for reading...

I almost used the term "silver bullet" in this post...:)

Certainly we can all improve the message of our marketing...

My point is only that marketing works over time.  I was picturing agents copying her words and wondering where their results were...

Thanks again,

Ken

I agree and that has been my biggest problem fiding the time to be consistent.  I think I am going to get my wife to help me some this year once the kids get back in school.
