Does anyone have experience with Reply Real Estate Lead Generation?

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate

I received a call from someone at Reply Real Estate offering me the opportunity to work with their leads in a specific area. He said there were no contracts or commitments, and that I would have the opportunity to verify the leads before being charged. Does anyone have any experience with this company, and do they have good leads? Thanks for your insight!

Most of these lead generation companies are way too expensive per lead, based on leads closed.  Best way to go is pay per click where you can manage the costs.

Thanks for the response. I just googled the company and found a number of complaints against them at www.consumeraffairs.com/housing/reply_real_estate.html. I guess I will pass and work on my own lead generation!

I have had many calls from them as well.  There are many blogs about them here on AR, just use the search feature.  A lot of good and bad things said about them.  I haven't tried them and not sure if I will.

Thanks for the suggestion to use the Search feature! I should have done that at the start. Very good posts, very eye-opening!

I was just talking to someone out of CA...they said they knew all about our local market  here in St Augustine but I'm not sure how they would not in less they're going to Zillow and you can forget about that. The company is  charging $55 per lead  I'd rather take a referral!

There's no substitute for EXPERIENCE!

Hopefully you decided AGAINST Reply! Real Estate!  They called me in July and I foolishly signed on for no more than 5 LEADS at $54/lead.  Every lead they sent me was a dud.  Consumers are NOT AWARE that their information is being forwarded to an agent and most were indignant that anyone would be contacting them.

I read some negative reviews on them just after signing up and I should have closed my account IMMEDIATELY.  After taking 3 leads that went no where, the company withdrew $105 from my checking account (yes I realize the math is off but that's what they deducted).  I closed that account

I sent them notice on August 5 that I no longer wanted to be involved with their "system."  They continued to send me "leads."  Next I get an email telling me I owe them $397!!!!   I told them I closed my account however they state THEY REQUIRE 30 DAYS TO CLOSE AN ACCOUNT.  Where is this written in their "policy" which I never received in writing?  And, how does 5 leads x $54 per lead add up to $397, PLUS the $105 they already gleaned from my account.

Now I've received a collection letter from these crooks.

Stay FAR AWAY from this company.  I'm now burdened with the task of having to deal with this situation, in addition to my already heavy workload and considerable family commitments.

These people are thieves.

Once you have an engine in place to process transactions from leads, the focus must be on lead generation to fuel the engine!

I did not have any success with Reply as it seems they are better at selling the leads than in getting them.   However, I've had good luck with a different company that supplies me with leads.   It all depends on whether the intent of the buyer/prospect is being voluntarily uncovered.

One of the reasons I continue to love Active Rain - the go-to place for any questions I ever have.  Unearthing the truth about Reply real estate was on my radar today!

Wow, I just got the sales pitch. Way to go AR! Sounds like you saved me a huge amount of trouble and money.

THANKS!

PS. They quoted me $29.95/lead with an 8 lead minimum  commitment (I see from the posts that there seems to be no limit to the number of leads they will bill you for regardless of the commitment).

Active Rain is really great - it provides a forum for Realtors to share their experiences and help protect us from the sharks who would steal our hard earned money! I guess there are not many scrupulous lead generation companies out there - it's better for us to build our own lead generation systems!

Just a follow-up. I got called back the next day to see if I was going to "go for it". I asked if their leads were for real and if they worked out and was told sure. I suggested that the pay be per listing contract and that because of our high list-to-sell ratio I could offer them quite a bit more, if their leads were good leads of course. The lady said she would discuss it with her supervisor and get back with me. Never heard back so I guess maybe they didn't figure that would work out as well for them as if they just keep calling to find agents who don't check.

Thanks again.

Dahlia:  Sorry to see your post so late... but honestly, I have heard nothing positive at all about Reply Lead Generation.  I know they have tried to solicit me, and were really "pests" about it... but they have finally quit calling.

I have done some stupid things in my life but signing up with reply real estate for "leads" was by far the stupidest. $40 per "lead". "buyers" who cannot afford to buy $40 per. "sellers" who have no intenion of selling $40 per. people just browsing the web $40 per. I would have been better off just burning my money. actually I deserve this for not googling the company before I signed on the dotted line. These are not leads they are people just browsing the web. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
