Looking for a Nice Place for Dinner in the Gettysburg Adams County Area?
If you are visiting the Gettysburg Adams County area and are looking for a dining experience that is a step up from the "grab a bite" menu, you have some great options. While this area has a myriad of dining options, I am going to highlight only places that I have personally eaten recently. Just click on the bold title of the restaurant to be directed to the restaurants website. Without further hesitation lets take a look at some of the finer dining options in the Gettysburg Adams County Area:
>1863 = this fairly new to the scene restaurant is located in the Wyndam hotel right on the outskirts of Gettysburg. The atmosphere is very nice and the food is great. The service was great and cost befits the package. I would definitely recommend 1863, and after dinner stop in the beautiful lounge for a night cap. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
> Cashtown Inn = hands down one of the best dining experiences you will have in the Gettysburg Adams County area. Set inside the historic Cashtown Inn 6 miles outside of Gettysburg, the Inn served as headquarters for A.P. Hill during the famous battle, you will have the opportunity to dine on classic American fare in either the dining room or the tavern. The menu is outstanding, the service unsurpassed, and wine list could possibly be the best in the area. A definitely wonderful dining experience to be had here at the Cashtown Inn. Open for lunch & dinner
> Fairfield Inn = This historic colonial Inn is one of the oldest operating inns in the country. Constructed in 1757 the atmosphere is a step back in time. The tavern is warm and comfortable and has a nice fireplace for those cold winter evenings. The menu is American fare and very reasonably priced. The service is excellent and if you are lucky the owners daughter will be available to give you the tour of the special history of the Fairfield Inn. Definitely a wonderful dining experience. Open for dinner.
>Gettysburg Hotel = You have your choice of Centuries on the Square or McClellan's Tavern. Both serve the same menu with the same excellence. The hotel is right on the square in historic Gettysburg and is in easy walking distance to everything the Gettysburg Boro has to offer. I perfer the tavern here, although the service, menu and food quality are the same whichever you choose, all are exceptional. This one is a definite if you are coming to the Gettysburg Adams County area.
>Sidney = one of my favorite restaurants in the Gettysburg Adams County area. Located in historic colonial East Berlin, a short drive from Gettysburg, Sidney offers one of the most eclectic, contemporary, menu's in the area. I love this place, The atmosphere is right out of revolutionary America, and the menu is wonderful. You will not be disappointed with anything on the menu here. This one is worth the drive from Gettysburg. Open for lunch and dinner.
Well there is a good start for your first, second, or third trip to the Gettysburg Adams County area. Dining at any one these fine restaurants you will not be dissappointed.
