When looking for a name for my Nationwide Notary business, I wanted a name that meant great service, responsibility, efficiency, and prestige. I of course wanted a name that had an open online domain name as well. I picked Elite Signing Services because we wanted only the most Elite notaries to sign documents for our company. What I didn't know, unitl the business cards were printed, the webpage was designed and the notaries were contacted was that there were several other companies with Elite Signing in their names that failed to pay or even return phone calls to their notaries. I'm always up for a challenge, but this was new one! I for one take customer service very seriously, and this includes the signing agents that we call upon as well. After months of explaining that we aren't related to the Elite compnay in Illinois, Oregon or Kansas City, we have reclaimed our name as one of high standars and customer service. Lesson learned though! Before deciding on a name, making sure the domain is open and city can give you a business license is not enough! Google, yelp and bing yourself first to save you lots of time and energy later!
