Motivational Power Quote

A Defeat is a Setback

"A man is not finished when he defeated;

he's finished when quits."

Richard M. Nixon, 37th President of the United States

As I see it. . . . . . . .

A defeat is a setback

A person's attitude will determine how they view a defeat and how they respond to the defeat.

A person with a positive attitude who has experienced a defeat will look at the situation as a temporary condition. They will no dwell on the defeat. They will focus their energy and effort on seeking solutions.  They will find the best and fastest way to resolve the situation and more on.

They may have been knocked down, but they refuse to stay down they get up bush themselves off and push forward.

What doesn't hurt us only makes us stronger!  Defeat can sometimes be good for a person.  Helps them come up with the drive to do better.

Have a great day Lou!

I hope not to be walking the path Nixon took, but like Edison, each setback is just something we discover doesn't work, and we're that much closer to success. Thanks, Lou.

Lou- In Napoeleon Hill's best seller Think and Grow Rich, he notes his interactions with Thomas Edison.  He states that in his interview with Thomas Edison, NH asked him how he became successful.  Edison replied that the reason he was successful was because he failed so many times, there was nothing else to do but succeed.  My mentor always used to tell me "It's only a mistake, if you don't learn something from it".  Great post.  Never let defeat equate to quitting.  Happy Selling!

Great inspiration as always Lou!  Its hard sometimes in real estate and we all feel defeated at times but in sales you just have to keep moving forward and go to the next one, thanks for the attitude adjustment :)

Defeat is just another opportunity to discover one more way that will not work to attain your goals. Move on and find the way that will.
