River Walk and Picnic
Pottsgrove Manor staff will offer a walking tour from the Manor to the Riverfront Park along the Schuylkill River.
Along the way, the guide will discuss the history and importance of the Manatawny Creek and the Schuylkill River to the ironworking business of the Potts family. A picnic lunch will be provided before heading back to the Manor. An optional guided tour of the house will be offered upon returning to Pottsgrove Manor. Please bring water, wear sunscreen and/or a hat, and wear comfortable shoes. The route is approximately 2 miles of paved trail and sidewalk. The terrain is mostly flat, with one set of stairs.
Fee: $15 per person. Pre-registration is required; please register by July 6 by calling 610.326.4014. Registrants will be given a choice of boxed lunches when they call.

A Family Stream Adventure
Wondering what’s living in that stream near your house? We will share everything we know about stream life beginning with an introduction at the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy’s brownstone barn, located at 1 Skippack Pike and Haldeman Rd., just outside of Schwenksville. We will then hike out to our favorite stream and investigate life in and around the stream. Utilizing our microscope and TeachCam, we will take a close look at some of the critters we find, learning about their lifecycles and special adaptations. This program is geared for families with children age 6 and older. Closed-toed shoes are a must (old sneakers are the best).
Fee: $7 Members/$10 Non-Members
