Before and after pictures

By
Home Stager with Ready Set Stage

Wow, this was such a fun project.  For the first time I actually did the painting instead of hiring someone to do it.  I painted the master bed, master bath, master sitting, family room, dining room, and stairs.  Then I did a lot of cleaning and staged it.  I'm going to share one picture with you, the rest will have to wait for Andrew Mayon with Triad Real Estate Photograpy.  He will be photographing the house Friday!

Before, there were renters in here.  You can't see it but they painted the accent wall and didn't cut in around the molding, so it was jagged on top.

Very pretty Chrissie.  That's a lot of painting to do.  Looks great!

Chrissie, the room looks great - the new paint color brightens the room and brings out the crown molding.

You did a wonderful job painting that room.  I love the color.  I just wish something could be done with the creosote on the fireplace.  I hate when I find that in a house.

Chrissie - can't believe the people before left that messy, jagged line where they painted!  The living room looks much brighter now.  All that painting sounds like a lot of hard work, but well worth it.

Renters can really do a number on a house.  The first thing I noticed in the Before pic was the black stairs and handrail.  I'm so glad you changed it to white.  Looking forward to seeing the rest of the pics.

Wow, Chrissie - what a great difference!  Are you a licensed painter too?  I'd be concerned about these new regulations re: lead.  Julie

That was a lot of work!  It would have bugged me to no end to live there and look at those jagged lines all day, Ugh!!!  Great paint choice!

Love that paint color and I know how much work there is to do. You did a great job and the molding really pops now.

I  couldn't have lived there with the jagged edge either. You did a great job. I am not allowed to paint as my husband says I paint like a mouse. I'm not sure what that means but I do know I am not allowed to paint. Love your selections. The paint colour makes the room look serene. Most people paint dark colours to make a room feel cozy but I like this look much better.

I agree the creosote on the fireplace needs to be addressed. I was told once that this means the fireplace is not drawing air properly. Is there a home inspector that could confirm this. My parents always said when starting a fire, to  open a window a tad first and that would prevent this problem from occurring. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks so much for all your nice comments.  I tried to clean the fireplace myself, but that was about as good as I could get it.  They spent a lot of money getting this house ready.  They had to replace the ceiling in the dining room, redo all the landscaping, all the indoor painting, change out a few light fixtures,  fix the front door lock, and, of course, the staging.  There were a lot of little rooms that were very undefined and really needed to be staged.  It is a beautiful house.  You will see the rest of it soon!!!
