What Does Your Offer of Service Above and Beyond Look Like?

I think all professionals who take pride in their work and how they perform it would believe they offer above and beyond customer service.

I certainly believe I do.

Recently, I've been thinking about that quite a bit and how I can actually explain to a prospective client exactly HOW it is that I provide above and beyond service. 

Last year when my husband began talking to me about the importance of video blogging (and I mostly ignored him) I did make a video in which I discussed exactly what that above and beyond service means to me. Of course I've not done anything with the video, like post it anywhere.

In my video I sought to answer what it really means to provide this type of service. Is it just talk or are there  examples from my modus operandi that  could actually speak to my commitment to this level of service. What does above and beyond service actually LOOK like to me?

So, here's what I discovered. For The Julissa Jumper Real Estate Team service above and beyond can look very differently depending on the client:

-If you're a single foster mom with 5 boys, who has more on your plate than you can handle and need to get your home on the market ASAP so you can sell ASAP so you don't lose the "perfect" home for you and your boys, it means me personally polishing ALL the beautiful wood trim in the house prior to putting it on the market.

-If you're that same mother, it means me babysitting your 5 boys so you could have an hour or 2 to leave the house and do nothing or something, it doesn't matter. You get a choice!!

-If you're a very elderly couple, selling to move north to be closer to your children and grandchildren and you have no friends who can help you pack your moving truck, it means my husband and son will take their Saturday to move all your belongings on to your moving truck.

-If you are in town for just 2 days to find a home, your husband is deployed and you had to bring your 1 year old with you, it means my assistant will come along & bring toys and stay in the car with your baby to entertain him so that while you and I are getting in and out of the car to look at houses you don't have to worry about buckling and unbuckling him from his car seat each time.

-If you find the absolutely perfect home of your dreams and the listing agent did not do a good job of posting pictures and you want your husband who is at a military school on the other side of the country to see it before you submit an offer I will do a complete video tour to e-mail to your him. Not just a bunch of still shots, an actual moving video tour of the same quality and time invested as if it were one of my listings.

-If you have to move before we sell your home, I will inspect your home every 21 days. Not a drive-by. An actual walk through and follow a standard list of items to be checked like windows, water heater, toilets, etc..and e-mail to you each time.

-If you are a buyer client, or a seller client, past or present, it means I have established an account at our local Sears that you can use to receive builder prices on any appliances Sears carries. No limits.

-If you are another single foster mom battling the monsters that the children in your care have to face, it means that if you have to pay the $5000 assessment fee that you were unaware of and that you can not pay b/c as it is you are barely breaking even from the sale, it means I decide that you will be my pro bono sale for that year.

As I thought about all these, I feel comfortable that I am providing service above and beyond. Could I improve? Of course I can!! I know the quickest way to my defeat is pride and thinking there is no room for improvement. I know I can always improve in every area of my personal and business life.

But I think I've got a good starting point.
