Which Apps are you using?

Here's a short list of applications I'm currently using on my HTC Incredible running Android 2.1:

Handcent- better than the stock sms/mms tool and highly customizable

Evernote- I use this for note taking but its works beyond just notes; it syncs online and can upload photos, documents, etc.

LastCall- this runs in the background and is activated when your phone call is through.  It will allow you to choose from a number of actions, such as converting the call to a task, calendar appointment, etc.  Makes the phone much "smarter"

Seesmic- If you use Twitter, then you might like Seesmic better than the stock app.  Many more features and allows for multiple accounts.

Anypost- This is a great information sharing tool that allow you to simultaneously post web articles, pictures and other items.  Useful when posting something to Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, etc all at once.

While there are literally thousands of apps out there (and probably another dozen or so that I have on my phone but don't use for real estate purposes) I find I use these several times a day to get basic tasks done.

Pete,
I just got around 2 months ago the new mytouch 3g slide, it's a great phone, I'm still missing a great phone with a 4.0" screen or 4.3" like the HTC HD2 that some days ago got the froyo, so you have a dual boot option run windows 6.5 and Froyo isn't great? :)

I recommend these apps

1) HD Dolphin Browser  much better and faster browser than stock.

2) Act 1 video player a much better video player than Stock

3) Atrackdog to track all the updates of all applications, better than stock android updates.

4) ConvertDroid  to get conversions of many units, many many many!!!!

5) Craigsnotification   When you are in a hunt of a special item in craigslist  , AWESOME!

6) Gblocker,   This app using in conjuction with  youmail.com  is the best that you can have, you can track many missed calls even when your phone is off and with youmail you have many features, this is the best visual voice mail for me on the android plattaform.

7) Shopsavvy The best barcode scanner to compare products

8) What ZIP  tells you the zip code when you are driving on area where you want to know what zip code you have there :)

9) Zip Code Search   input the city, state or county and tells you all the zip codes from cities in your area or place you are searching, great!

10) GoMarks  and Google Bookmarks is the best that you can use, everything is sync and on great place, no more backups from your hardrive to save your favorites also you have all the URL's in your phone :)

Also I have many more that I use, but mainly these are my favorites

Right now I'm using a leaked version of Android 2.2 which comes with Flash Player.  I also rooted the phone and can run Wifi tether!  Great for when you're in areas with no open access.

Pete,
are u still using the incredible? mytouch 3g slide is not easy to root, so I'm lazy to do it, until it gets better the root process I'll do it, don't get me wrong, I can do it, but I'm lazy !, no time to do it these days hahaha, so for the wifi tether and the froyo I can wait until it is officialy done on my phone.

Yep, the Incredible has amazing power and potential.  Since its a "high end" Android device (and HTC loves to lock down up coming features) the new OS upgrades keep making it better and better.  Rooting was easy; there's a group know as Unrevoked that makes 1-step root kits.  Check 'em out.  I bet they rooted your phone already!

Pete,
I have mytouch 3g slide, the newest ones that got T-mobile, then they made the Samsung Galaxy S, let me double check it that, if there is a kit I can root it, but if it will be many commands and stuff like that, it's not easy on the slide, the g1 was easier even with commands.

Thanks for the updates

Pete,
read this,

Have you unlocked your Evo or Incredible handheld only to do an over-the-air (OTA) update which locks it down again? The makers of Unrevoked have an answer to the problem. Their new tool, Unrevoked Forever, is a permanent patch for your smartphone which keeps it unlocked even after an OTA update.

Only specific Incredible and EVO radio baseband versions are supported by the tool. Those versions include:

HTC Droid Incredible, running radio baseband versions:

  • 1.00.03.04.06
  • 2.05.00.06.11
  • 2.07.00.07.16
  • 2.15.00.07.28

HTC EVO 4G, running radio baseband versions:

  • 1.39.00.04.26
  • 2.05.00.06.10
  • 2.15.00.07.28

Your radio baseband version can be found by holding the VOLUME DOWN key while powering on the phone.

A very, VERY important thing to note about Unrevoked Forever is that it will void your warranty since it turns your phone's security level to S-OFF. The makers suggest that before taking your phone in for service you should turn the security level back to S-ON and remove all custom modifications

I believe that only for EVO and Incredible, not for HTC 3g Slide

there is a software that only with a click it root the droid and the droid x

Yep, I'm running the Unrevoked Forever with radio 2.15.00.07.28.   I'm also using a custom ROM from adrynalyne.us that has much of the bloatware removed and has added features.

Question for you:  Since Top Producer does not have a mobile app for their desktop software (yet), have you found a "project management" app that helps you keep track of your listings/tasks, etc?
