They can't all have somewhere to go!!!

Well, I finally got underway for the weekend.   It 's a nice drive and so while I am driving, I thought I would write this blog.  OH...Don't worry, I put the car in cruise control!

OK OK...I just stopped for coffee and I am waiting for a client.

As I have been driving and seeing all the traffic of people starting the weekend early, a thought came to mind.

Just where is everyone going.  I try to imagine all the places that they could go and the list is endless.   A statement that my dad made many years ago.   We were in a hurry and traffic was heavy and slow.  Dad, visibly frustrated said..."Look at all the traffic, they can't all have somewhere to go!"

That quip has stayed with me for many years and I use it every now and again.

But for today, I just hope that everyone arrives safely...no matter where they are going if indeed they actually have somewhere to go.

I'm always amazed at how traffic works.  It seems that all these cars on on the freeway going in the same direction, but where ARE they going, indeed?  They will get all bunched up, stop and go, and then POOF!  The traffic dissipates and it is like there was no traffic at all.  lol

Bill, I live in a resort area so many people are coming my way...as it turns out I'm always staying when vacationers are coming...and leaving when no one else is. It's a great travel plan to work when everyone is on vacation, and vacation when everyone is at work.

My meeting is over and it went well...but I still have no idea where most of this traffic is going.

Isn't it interesting how a simple comment can stick all these years! I guess that's a fond memory of your dad. Have a great holiday weekend.

Howdy and evening to you William

One of the many good things about here in my area of New Hampshire. Folks don't have to worry about heavy and slow traffic on the highway, we don't have any of that knid of traffic.

Have a good one

My children...anticipating a traffic comment from me, will say: "Dad, do not complain about the traffic. It is like this every day. Why do you still seem surprised?" Sooo I gave up and now have been saying very positive things about the traffic..."Look at all these cars. All these people will be needing to buy or sell property!" Happy 4th Bill :-)

I had somewhere to go but when I got into the bus, no I mean car, I forgot the keys.  I went inside to get them and when I got to the door I forgot why I was there.  Oh well maybe I'll go tomorrow.

Bill, I know you were out for the weekend, But I wonder how many houses you previewed.  You seldom take time off with out doing a bit of work!
