Avoid Being a Perfectionist

With my new baby time management is even more important for me. I would love to spend all of my time with him but at the same i have to run my business. Lets face it nobody is perfect and everything we do during the day is not going to be 100 % perfect. Whenever something is done there is going  to a small flaw that isnt always noticeable. Yes, some things need to be closer to perfect than others, but perfectionism, paying unecessary attention to detail can be a form of procrastination. Procrastination is the worst thing you can do when you have too much to do and very little time to get it done. Unecessary attention to deal is just a waste of time. When it comes to paperwork if you think it isnt completed correctly have someone else look it over. Customers deserve prompt and efficent service. Especially when it comes to obtaining a new home loan for a customer there is a deadline for escrow to close and that has to be met. I used to be a perfectionist in the past and because of this i got behind on work. Now i close more loans and close them 10x faster. Ask my colleagues they will vouch for me :)

Congrats Eddy on your beautiful boy.  You will be spending more time with him and probably less time on work for a while, but it's worth it.  Look at that punkin' head, he's beautiful.  Enjoy this time Eddy, my little boy turns one year old next week, and I've enjoyed everyday with him!

Congratulations AGAIN Eddy.  It's funny how you're talking about being a perfectionist right after having a perfect baby.  You're a perfectionist, admit it - you're trying to put it behind you but look at your work!  We just become more efficient at it (I know, I am one, I have 3 perfect kids ......maybe 4 with Rick, a perfect home and a perfect business)  - who Am I kidding at 12:00 AM?

Eddy: I may be late in congratulating you and your wife on your beautful baby boy, but it is heartfelt. My oldest celebrates his 22nd birthday tomorrow and it seems like only yesterday that I was caring for a helpless and treasured infant.

They grow up fast. Enjoy every moment!
