An old-fashioned Independence Day celebration is in store Sunday, July 4,when the City of Fullerton presents its Annual Community Fireworks Show and Festival. There will be live music and fireworks. Games and food booths sponsored as fund-raisers by non-profit Fullerton organizations will mark the event. The event takes place at Fullerton High School Stadium at the corner of Lemon and Berkeley. Starting Saturday July 3rd sign-ups for West Grove Girls Softball League winterball season will take place at Enders Elementary, 12302 Springdale Street (major cross streets - Lampson/Springdale) from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for girls in the following divisions: 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U. Registration fees are $125. Teams are drafted in August. Winterball season is from September through November. There are also online sign-ups also available at www.westgrovesoftball.com. Sunday July 4th at Veterans Park and Yorba Linda Middle School there will be a family friendly event beginning at 5:00 p.m. and will be capped off with a spectacular fireworks show scheduled for 9:00 p.m. Bring a lawn chair, sit back and relax or get up and dance while a D.J. plays your favorite songs. Local non-profit organizations will host food and game booths featuring a variety of American favorites for your entertainment. Attendees are welcome to pack their own picnic dinner to enjoy as well. Reminder for your own safety and for the comfort of others no alcohol, personal fireworks, and BBQ's are allowed.
