Yesterday we celebrated my mom's 66th birthday at my sister's house in Medford Lakes, New Jersey. We were waiting for my mom and dad to show up, since they were playing golf earlier.
So I was out with my niece and nephew while they played in their kid vehicles. Joey decided to hope in with my niece Ava and let a women drive him around. Smart kid... lol
(Joey & Ava - Twins - 2 yrs & 2 months old)
Here is Joey with some ice cream cake on his face. Ava had some but my sister had wiped her face before I could take the picture. If you never had ice cream cake before, it's awesome. I think the first time I had it was for my 15th birthday, which was not to long ago. ;o)
In any case, it was cute hearing the kids singing happy birthday to my mom. My sister said that they had been practicing all day. And we even had to relight the candles again for Ava, because she had to blow them out again.
Overall... just good times with the family. And yes, no pictures of my mom on her birthday. I just wasn't thinking at the time. But the kids grow up so quickly, that you don't want to lose these precious times. But they sure do love to celebrate birthdays, no matter whose birthday. Well, they have another one to celebrate soon. My niece Katerina, who will turn 11 on Wednesday the 7th of July. So now Joey and Ava should have had plenty of practice.
UPDATE : July 3rd, 2010
Spent some time with my nieces and nephews at the Medford Village pool in Medford, New Jersey. What some great weather. Not a cloud in the sky and about 85 degrees. A great time had by all.
