A friend of mine married a life long friend early this year. There marriage ended abruptly Thursday, July 2nd. There marriage ended due to his passing in Afghanistan by a road side bomb that detonated! This holiday season when you hear the fireworks go off, remember those who still fight for our Independence! I am so grateful for his service and so sad for his loss and the loss his family and new wife must now endure.
Matthew, Words cannot express the immediate sadness that I felt after reading your post. What a wonderful tribute to your friend and what a great loss for his family and especially his wife. We must remember those who have fought and continue to fight to keep our freedoms safe. The best to you and your family on the 4th of July.
