It's that time of year again I hit the road with family for the many family reunions I attend, but this year something was different. I am a college graduate with a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management and oh boy, the level of service I have been getting in Michigan have been subpar.
At a Wendy's the "fast food" was terribly slow, and the workers outnumbered consumers 3 to 1. It took 20 minutes to complete an order that should have been ready in less than 3 minutes...
At an AW/KFC I waited for 30 minutes for food that should not have took that long to cook! And the only reason I ate there was because at the banquet held at a LARGE hotel served undercooked chicken! For all those who love med rare BEEF... I do too...but undercooked poultry is a BIG no-no!
With all that said, I had to reevaluate the service that I provide! When people call do I respond in a timely manner? Do I respond to emails quickly and efficiently? Am I providing a quality service to those I represent?
Over this long weekend for some, let us take the time to evaluate if we are being of service to those we are providing services to!
