I can smell the BBQ cooking at my daughter's house! It's great when your kids are finally grown, now we get to pass the chores of the holidays to them! I have spent most of the weekend working on a rental house I need to sell and now we are heading to Illinois to visit the grandikids and let our daughter wait on us. Ha! But just thinking of the short but out-of- state trip reminds me to caution everyone out there that this is usually the most dangerous of the Holidays! So BE CAREFUL both in driving and if you are doing your own fireworks. Have a great rest of the Holiday and hey take tomorrow off and hit the ground running on Tuesday!

The 4th is one of my favorite holidays! My family gets together at my brother's house for hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings. We hang out, play games and visit until it is time for fireworks. Luckily we can see the city's firework display from my brother's front yard. Awesome!
