This week I passed another anniversary....As of July 1st I have been licensed to sell Real Estate in Idaho.
So much has changed in the past 16 years...when I started in Real Estate our contracts were a legal sized one page contract....front and back. Now we are at about 8 pages plus quite a few addendum's depending on the transaction....Of course the contract is easier to read.
We have seen the number of agents increase in our association from about 150 agents when I got licensed to a high of over 600 in 2006 and 2007. Slowly the numbers have dwindled to about 275 agents...a much more manageable number....
We didn't do much with short sales in 1994 now they are common place...
When I was licensed we of course had "the book" now it is all on line...with so much more capability....
Advertising was in a print form...now it is primarily done on line...the real estate tabloids are much thinner these days!
I wonder what other changes will happen in the next 16 years....any predictions??
