Canada Day and Independence Day in Red Lodge, Montana - Two in One Photo!

I hope my Canadian friends had a great day celebrating Canada Day and that my American friends had a great day celebrating Independence Day (there is still a few more hours left to celebrate the latter and with lots of fireworks).

Here is a photo I took earlier this afternoon during the parade in Red Lodge.

I took about a hundred photos and will share some of my best photos of this year's Rodeo/4th of July parades (that took place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday) early next week!

Most of the buildings in town were built in the very early 1900's.  They are part of the historic district of Red Lodge.   I also like old building especially when they are well kept over the years.

Thank you.  I did have a great time and get them to see a good number of my friends in town as well as recognize some annual visitors to Red Lodge.  I hope you had a great 4th as well.

I did enjoy my weekend.  The turnout was huge as expected (you are only seeing about a block on main street but there were at least a dozen of blocks of that many people lined up to watch the parade).  The population quadrupled during the weekend if you counted the visitors that were in town!   :)

Nice to see the two flags.  Canada Day here was full of lots of activities down by our waterfront.  No horses here, just boats.  It was a beautiful day and I took the dog for a nice walk (away from the crowds) as I'm not a big fan of big crowds.
