Moose Monday - First of Four Posts: Moose in Philadelphia at the July 4th Fireworks

So I woke up in the middle of my sleep and as luck wanted it, I was browsing online through the photos on an AOL July 4th article when I stumbled across this Moose photo.

Before you comment on this photo, please note that it is not my photo but a photo by Matt Rourke for the Associated Press.

If you want to read the online article and see more photos of July 4th fireworks around the country, click on the following link: Fireworks Follow Sun-Scorched July 4 Festivals  .

If anyone from Philadelphia sees this post, there is a moose somewhere in your city just waiting to be photographed for Moose Monday (it would be interesting to see how he looks by day).

I hope everyone had a great July 4th weekend!   There are 3 more Moose Monday posts scheduled for today (at a more regular daytime).   You moose come back later today to see them!

Now, time for me to go back to sleep.

Here are the links to the 3 other same day Moose Monday posts:

Moose Monday - Third of Four Posts: Art in the Beartooths (Red Lodge, Montana) - July 10, 2010

Hi Gerry - This moose picked a mooseific city to spend time in on Independence Day as Philadelphia is the home of the Liberty Bell.

I'm looking forward to your other three moose photos which I will comment on tomorrow with a fresh batch of points. :)

Hi Gerry, I had a friend from Philadelphia visiting here this weekend.  She spent the 4th of July in Canada this year, the first since she moved to the U.S. 14 years ago.  So she missed all the excitement.

Jenny,

Perhaps we may have an idea of where that moose was located in Philadelphia.  If so, she can hopefully take one of the same moose during the daytime and send it to you so that you can share it with us here on Moose Monday.  I am sure, you are getting better at explaining Moose Monday to friends of yours and why the moose photos are more important to our eyes than to others.  :)
