While a blog is, almost by definition, an opinion, I want to state up front that this blog entry is meant only to serve as a source of information on the subject of mold and not as an opinion.

I've had some clients with questions and concerns about mold, and they have found this information to be helpful, even reassuring.
On a personal note, I've been fortunate enough to never have encountered any issues with mold. I love cheese (can't seem to lay off the Gorgonzola) and mushrooms, and while I'm not a huge beer connoisseur, I can't say I've personally ever had a bad reaction from any of the foods made with mold. Most people I've spoken with are surprised when they find out Blue Cheese and Beer are made with mold, which may be due to the negative press mold has gotten over the last several years. There does exist now a huge industry designed to remove and prevent mold. Again, just a thought.
Oh yeah... don't forget Penicillin! Still to this day one of the most widely used antibiotics in the world.
Before you make a snap judgment about mold, or about any subject for that matter, do some research.
What you discover may surprise you.
