Art in the Beartooths (Red Lodge, Montana) - July 10, 2010

Rosebud Repose by John Potter

Art in the Beartooths 2010 will take place on Saturday, July 10th, in Red Lodge's Lion's Park. The signature artist this year will be John Potter.  Above is one of his most recent painting: Rosebud Repose which John submitted as the signature piece for this year's art event.

For the event, tents will be set up in Lion's Park where more than 30 artists will be creating artwork which will then be offered for live auction later in the evening. The schedule of events will be:
9:30 ... artists begin creating art in and around Lion's Park and Red Lodge
2:30 ... artists check in artwork
4:00 ...artwork on display in gazebo and artists present to talk about their work
4:40 and libations are served, music begins
6:00 auction begins, silent auction ends soon after end of live auction

This year's Art in the Beartooths promises to be an artful experience not to be missed - plan to be part of it.

Great art, Gerry!  And, I moose say that everytime I see a moose, I think of the show, Northern Exposure--I loved that show and wish it hadn't been cancelled!

Thank you.   I love art too and lately any piece of art with moose in it.  Hopefully, some day, someone will bring the show Northern Exposure back or something similar will come on.

Gerry - John Potter is a moose amazing painter with mooseinating paintings.  Do you you plan to try to purchase a moose painting in the auction so that it can be moose point of your house?

You never know when you go to an auction.  I am planning to go.  I will perhaps enter a bid or two moosely for fun but I do not have moose space left on my walls for a painting that size.

Thank you.  I got to see the Rosebud Repose in person yesterday (Saturday, July 10) at the Arts in the Beartooths and it was great!   There were lots of beautiful paintings.    :)
