I downloaded the eBook Soci@l: Attract Friends, Followers and Connections to Your Business a couple of days ago and couldn't wait to share what I've learned so far with you.

Soci@l is an amazing workbook full of secrets about how to success in the real estate and mortgage business on the Internet via social networks (and the actual "textbook" for RainCamp).

What I'm learning in the first chapters are to JUST DO IT SYSTEMATICALLY!. So far, the most useful tool for me is the 60 minutes per day social media plan. (http://www.slideshare.net/memarki/60-minutes-per-day-social-media-maintenance-plan).

It forces me to think about what I'm doing on social media and ensure I'm not just flitting from topic to topic as the whim hits me, but ensuring I'm blogging, commenting, tweeting, etc. in an organized, systematic fashion each day.

The free eBook Soci@l (originally released in October 2009), is written by Ben Kinney, top producing agent and headline speaker for RainCamp, in conjunction with Jay Papasan, co-author of SHIFT and The Millionaire Real Estate Agent. It's an itemized action list of what to do to actually GET BUSINESS from social media activity. Then I went back to the beginning and got excited about the 60-minute social media plan. (Again, I like checklists.)

Having just signed up for a 2-year gym membership, I'm just embracing the pain of change all throughout my life. I especially like that it's a system, and also that other real agents got so excited they even PAID for the eBook! That shows value is there. Embracing the mindset is step one, now it's on to step two.

I've just downloaded the 60 minutes per day social media plan, because I find I work better with checklists and tools. Otherwise I tend to flit around according to my interest. It includes blogging, commenting, tweets and more-daily actions again, designed to get more business.

This eBook is already helping me to be more organized about how I use social media.

Hi Michelle!  Great review!  I think systematically is the key words.  I need to get back to my schedule.  In the heart of the summer I am always tempted to be here or on facebook or in the pool and spend less time working!
