The West Virginia Mushroom Club will sponsor a Mushroom Foray at Greenbrier State Forest near Lewisburg on July 24. Gary Lincoff, author of "The Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Mushrooms," will lead a mushroom walk.
Author and regional mushroom expert Bill Roody, nature photographer Taylor Lockwood and mushroom cultivar Paul Goland will also attend and give presentations or help with identification on the mushroom walk.
Activities start at 10 a.m. and include a walk, lunch, samples, demonstrations and potluck dinner, campfire and s'mores at 6 p.m. Cost is $25. Call 304-342-7148 or 304-343-1617
