What's your funniest story?

I was doing some reading online tonight and came across a link on Realtor.org for people's funniest real estate stories.  I never knew this page existed on the site until tonight.  I decided to check it out and got a laugh out of some of them.

There are quite a few of them for your enjoyment, and you can even submit your own if you like.

Feel free to check them out here.

I don't have any funny real estate stories to share, but do you?  Anything strange happen to you at an open house or while out showing properties or maybe just a funny story of something that happened while working with one of your clients you care to share?

Becky:  I referred a potential listing to another agent in our office.  (It was a pre-foreclosure, lots of ins and outs that I didn't feel qualified to handle).  He made an appointment with the potential seller, called to confirm it the next morning and arrived promptly at the appointed time that evening.  As he approached the house he knew it wouldn't be an "easy" listing.  (Clutter everywhere outside, full front porch that was loaded with belongings, etc.)

As he started walking up the stairs to the porch he heard an odd noise for our area:  "BAAAAAAAAA"  He stopped, looked around through all the clutter and didn't see anything.  He took 2 more steps and heard "BAAAAA" again.  Sure enough, out from under a rocking swing came a goat.  The goat was tied to the swing, and had a large i.d. tag dangling from his neck.  The tag read:  "Billy Bad A*S".

This agent retreated back down the steps, as he wasn't sure if goats bite or not, and went back to his car to think about what to do.  As there weren't any cars in the homeowners driveway, and no one came to the door after the goat "announced" a strangers presence, he decided to call the homeowner.  No answer.  He waited 10 minutes then called again, still no answer.    He then called me, explained that he believes he had been stood up, however there was a goat named Billy Bad A*S on the porch welcoming him.

He didn't get the listing (he didn't mind, really) but he has never let me live down the wonderful appointment I sent him on.

That's a weird real estate story. He was probably not in any physical danger, but it's better to be safe than sorry!
