Here's good news for the the GA First Time Home Buyer!  The household income limits were raised recently for interested, credit-eligible borrowers who have not owned a home in the past three years.  The Georgia Down Payment Assistance Program for first time home buyers is specifically for households at 80% of the Atlanta Metropolitan area average median income.  Income from every household wage-earner over the age of 17 is captured in the calculation to determine if the following limits are met:

  • A single person household may earn up to $40,250
  • A two-person household may earn up to $46,000
  • A three-person household may earn up to $51,750
  • A four-person household may earn up to $57,450
  • A five-person household may earn up to $62,050
  • A six-person household may earn up to $66,650
  • A seven-person household may earn up to $71,250
  • An eight-person household may earn up to $75,850

These income limits are specific to the GA First Time Home Buyer Program and do not apply to the other Georgia Down Payment Assistance Programs at this time.

Readers should also be advised that other down payment assistance programs are available in Metro Atlanta and Georgia that are not captured by AtlantaDownPaymentAssistance.com.  Please visit the blog today and review the flyers to the left of the screen for details.  If you are NOT working with a GA Agent, please call for more details.
