Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Atlanta Partners GA341882 FL0613306

I had taken a hiatus from real estate for a while but one surefire way I knew I could get the word back out that "Stevie B" was back was a simple, inexpensive way.  This is by wearing my real estate badge almost everywhere I go (I do not wear to church).  By wearing my Keller Williams badge, I am letting people know that I AM A REALTOR - what a simple yet underused concept.

For example, the other day, my wife and I went out on our weekly date, and we each wore our real estate badges.  After a nice dinner and motorcycle ride, we decided to stop at a Rita's Italian Ice and as we were paying, lo and behold, the manager tells me he is looking to open up a business and needs to purchase a commercial building!

LaterSteven Betolatti always wearing name tag., we went to the movies and again, we were approached by a prospective buyer.

Also, the other day, I went to a Home Depot and though I promised my wife I would be back within 10 minutes, I was delayed because I met a possible seller.

It never ceases to amaze me that we, and I do say we, as I am just as guilty, spend money on so many lead generating sources and yet the best one is the old fashioned and simple way - JUST LET PEOPLE KNOW YOU ARE A REALTOR AND TALK TO THEM.  I have  to constantly remind myself and even push myself to make my old fashioned prospecting calls to my sphere and yet, this is still the most effective lead generating out there.

I think we sometimes look for the simple way out by paying for additional services and new techno gadgets and yet the simplest and least expensive form, we all possess - the ability to communicate to our sphere and those we encounter daily!

Steven, some agents say they feel "funny" wearing their real estate name badges everywhere, but all you need is one good conversation from it, and you've got a new prospect.

Thanks, Steven.  Before I started real estate, I saw someome at a social event with a name tag and thought he forgot to take it off at the end of the work day.  LOL!  Just didn't think!  I have thought about it but haven't yet ... thanks for the inspiration.

Exactly!   I have found so many prospects from simple necessary trips to the grocery store, hardware store, etc.   I think I want to get a button made now saying- I CAN SELL YOUR HOUSE- LET ME SHOW YOU HOW!

You are singing to the choir! Love it. About 1/3rd of our agents wear their badges and not only does it allow people to freely speak with you, it reinforces that we are proud of our profession. Hats off to you and on with the badge!

For sure- I find so many more people approaching me instead of me approching them.  It is great.  My wife is actually a virtual assistant and not a licensed realtor at this time but I got her a badge too so since she knows agents throughout the country, she can be a great referral source pretty much anywhere in the US.
