I'm not sure how recent an addition these statues are to Downtown Pleasanton, CA but they sure caught my attention tonight, while strolling through town at the First Wednesday Street Party. A total of 11 statutues in the Sweard Johnson sculpture exhibition displayed in cities around the world, are now making their appearance in Pleasanton, CA.  Great conversation starters!

Oh how cool!  What a great photo opportunity. I love downtown Pleasanton, almost moved there a few years back.

I love the third one of the GI hugging the child. They do look real.

Karen,

I have seen sculptures like these in other places. These are well-done. Have to do a double-take on some. :)
