Challenger British Soccer Camp in Morehead City, North Carolina

I am a soccer mom and I LOVE it!  My 5 year old thinks that Soccer is the greatest sport of all time.  He has been watching the World Cup on television and pretends that he is a famous soccer star.  To us, of course, he is a soccer star.  For five years old, he is an extremely talented little soccer player (I know I am his mom, but he really is good).  This past season, we became a little concerned in regards to his sportsmanship.  He gets very upset if a fellow teammate makes a mistake, and actually yelled out at one game that he would be better off if he were the only player on his team. It wasn't cute and we asked the coach to take him out of the game :-(. When we found out that the Challenger British Soccer Camp was available to children in our area, we could not login fast enough to sign Tanner up.

British Soccer Camps provide players of all ages a unique opportunity at high-level soccer coaching from a team of international experts.  And they are coming to Carteret County! How cool is that?  They work on foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, coached scrimmages, and more.  What sold the deal for us was that they also focus on teaching the children respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership. Now, that is something we can really use.

If you have a child between the ages of 3 and 16, and they love soccer, look into the British Soccer Camps.  They will be in Morehead City at the Rotary Park from July 26-30th.  To register and for more information please visit the Seashore Soccer League website and click on "Camps".  If you do not live in Carteret County, you can enter your zip code to find British Soccer Camps in your area.

I know one little soccer player that is counting the days...

What a great post Amy. I didn't detect any bias about your son's soccer prowess!

Old before his years.

If the new soccer doesn't teach (or get though) to him about sportsmanship and team play try martial arts

maybe we will be fortunate enough to see him playing professional one day

Enjoy the day

P.S. you've got mail

Hello Amy and Friends,  I really think this blog should be featured because this camp is such a great idea and soccer has become so important to little athletes around here.    I admit to being a little prejudiced about this particular little soccer star, but all of us who have been following his incredible soccer development (two years) have figured out that he is a natural athlete and has no patience for those who have less skill.  Not a good trait and one that I, too hope to see these coaches work on. (Mom, Dad and Jamma only have limited enfluence with young athletes.)
