Waiting to Exhale in Sonoma

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker DeAnza Realty

Two days to go until the close of escrow on a property I listed.  Crossing my fingers that all the hard work will come to fruition.  With the way the banks are reining in loans and tightening policies, I won't breath a sigh of relief until it records.  Anyone else feel the crunch?

Jane,

Yes, but each transaction seems to have its own variables.  Working on one now with a VA loan, and waiting impatiently for the completion of some mandated improvements to the foundation.  Building permits are difficult to get, and the appraisal took too long, so we had to get two extensions, and the loan is . . . still alive for now. Don't guess we can spend the commission just yet.

Best of luck with your listing.  I hope it closes on time for you.  We are feeling the crunch for sure on the banking side.  Everything as we knew it has changed.  Just going thru every lender we work with to get the updated underwriting guidelines.  Let me know if you have any mortgage questions.  Feel free to check out my website at http://www.esquivelmortgagegroup.com
