ZIP code 85048 comprises an area of central and southern Ahwatukee (within the city of Phoenix) stretching from Pecos Road in the south to include the South Mountain Preserve in the north. The boundaries are somewhat complex, but the western boundary runs close to 17th Avenue and the eastern boundary runs north along Interstate 10 until it reaches Chandler Boulevard where it heads west until it reaches 32nd Street where it again turns due north.

ZIP Code 85048 includes the Club West Golf Club, Desert Foothills Park, the Foothills Golf Club, Vista Canyon Park and Bassmaster Lake. ZIP code 85045 lies to the west and 85044 to the northeast.

Summary
Real estate activity in the Phoenix Metro area market continues to deteriorate, where demand in the market is roughly the same as the supply.
