ZIP code 85218 comprises a large area of north Pinal county including Gold Canyon and Queen Valley. It lies north of Highway 60 and includes the western part of the Superstition Mountains. Gold Canyon used to be referred to as Gold Camp, but this usage is now uncommon. The USPS prefers the city name Apache Junction for this ZIP code, but it actually lies beyond the boundary of Apache Junction and very few residents of 85218 use Apache Junction in their address, most frequently preferring the alternative Gold Canyon which is an acceptable alternative name according to the USPS.

It includes the Superstition Mountain Club, Gold Canyon Golf Club and Queen Valley Golf Club.

Summary
Real estate activity in the Phoenix Metro area market continues to deteriorate, where demand in the market is roughly the same as the supply.
