What apps should I have on my Iphone?Iphone apps

I just bought a new Iphone, actually a 3GS. I didn't see the need for the Iphone 4. I do like this phone, even though there is a learning curve. So what should I load on it? I do want a loan/mortgage app that can analyze different scenarios and has an amortization schedule. After that, I don't know. They do not all have to be real estate related. I wouldn't mind being entertained or productive when I'm waiting around. Please share any app that you are totally happy with. Thanks.

Tigard, while not an official "app", I download quite a few podcasts.  From the news to some entertaining NPR segments, there are hundreds of podcast options.

One of my favorite discoveries was the video camera for the 3G phone.

Evernote is another favorite

From a real estate viewpoint..Trulia, Realtor.com, Zillow and Smart Agent are all apps I've downloaded, but I like Realtor.com and Trulia the best of these.

Enjoy your phone!

Hi Wayne,

Good question, maybe I'll just hang out here to see what others may say. Right now I'm on my 2nd iPhone, (left the first one of a plane) and I truly cannot remember the prior apps I had before. So far I've only added a few back.

I like the mortgage calculator app. Provides quick answers for client questions. Loopnet has a free app if you do any commercial. IHeartRAdio if you are a music or talk nut. I could go on, the Iphone has a ton of great ones.

So far I think I will try Near Buy, Evernote and Calcs Pro. I'll let you know what I think. Thanks for the responses.

Evernote and Calcs Pro are keepers. Near Buy is a bust!

DropBox.com is one you gotta have! It is a "thumbdrive in the cloud", and the first 2 gigs are free. (More than enough to hold your listings and escrows)... Try it out!

Hey Wayne,

Good Post. There are also apps for available properties in your area.

Dragon Dictation - very useful to record your thoughts.

Trulia and Zillow apps - somewhat useful.

ATT Navigator is great (I like it better than my Tom-Tom -- Watch out though, it eats the battery!) The active rain app does not always allow you to leave comments but I like to be able to read blogs while I am waiting for something). Calengoo (syncs with Google Calendar).

I would suggest ESIGNControl if you use DocuSign for your transactions

I purchased the app for HP12c and now I don't have to carry the bulky calculator around with me.  It took a while to get used to the touch on the iPhone, but now I just find it so convenient.  No need to carry both any more!  As to entertainment, I confess to having skeeball and solitaire.  The other app I use nearly daily is SplashID for keeping track of my various web log-ins and passwords - not to mention that it would be helpful to my family if anything happened to me.

'Don't have my phone next to me right now, but I'll come back tomorrow if I notice any others that jump out at me.

Most of the larger bank have their own apps and with most you can make check deposits with your iPhone.  I bank with USAA and have been depossiting checks with the iphone over a year without a single problem.

For out in the field, I rely totally on our local MLS mobile app.  I don't find zillow, trulia, NearBuy or any of those useful as an agent.  The one app I absolutely love and utilize out in the field is the ChicagoAgent.  You can qualify buyers, get net sheets, calculate payments, etc.  It does cost, but worth it to me.  There are some other good Title Company apps out there as well...talk to your local reps.  Have fun!
