So, I received a MEME from the fantabulous Lenn Harley over the weekend about my 5 favorite books so here goes…..
The Celestine Prophecy – this book almost wasn’t. The author James Redfield actually self published it & it later became a New York Times Bestseller. It’s a fantasy book about the different levels of consciousness & how everything happens for a reason. It’s a great read & if you’ll let yourself believe in it some you won’t want to put it down.
Next, I really enjoy The Power of Intention by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer. If you haven’t read any books by Dyer I highly recommend this one. I read it first about a chapter a night. It’s about how what you think becomes reality. My business literally doubled during the time frame while I was reading this book. I’ve read it 2 more times since.
For anyone in sales or negotiations, I’m sure you’ve heard of & read Zig Ziglar. I particularly enjoyed his Secrets of Closing the Sale. Sure, it isn’t real estate specific but it’s a great book. He’s not manipulative but he shows you how to help others in a way that is critical to everyone’s success. It’s all about win/win here.
The next one is kind of 2 part, The Millionaire Real Estate Agent & The Millionaire Real Estate Investor by Gary Keller kind of go hand in hand. If you are a real estate agent & not building up a real estate investment inventory you should be. Gary sets a plan to follow in both that is realistic & easy to implement.
Finally, one that is more just for fun. The Da Vinci Code. I’m sure many of you have read it also. I’ll be honest, when I first looked at it I didn’t think I’d be able to read the whole thing – it’s THICK! But once I got into it I couldn’t put it down. Dan Brown uses such vivid descriptions you feel like you are there. By the way, I read Angels & Demons later & found it to be great as well but very similar.
