It's hard to believe, after the Spring we had, to be complaining about the lack of rain around here! The lawns are so dry they crinkle and the flower gardens need the moisture! Finally, there are rain clouds on the horizon and we are getting some precipitation! I only hope that we don't get the two and three inches all at once. It doesn't soak in when that happens- so I would like it to be slow and steady.

We all need rain....in moderation.....we have a water ban....I'll have to sink a well to use the irrigation system....

Been raining here for a week and we have had the downpours and the slow mist...I am a little tired of it and the humidity it brings but we need it....

Barbara, I let the yard get the rain- don't use the irrigation from the well anymore. You know, it seems to work just at well (no pun intended).
Pat, I hunt quail out in that area every year- I hope the rain is at least helping the birds!
