A few ways to cut spending or make money
Great money saving tips....
This months issue of AARP Bulletin had several great ideas for ways to save money, or to make a little extra cash. I have not had a chance yet to investigate all of the ideas, but here are a few that stuck out to me.
1. Rent extra space in your home or garage. One of the websites suggested was http://storeatmyhouse.com You can list your availability and asking price for free.
2. Sell your unused items. A site that can help to price it reastically is http://itaggit.com This site analyzes recent sales at online auctions.
3. Sell your books. I love to read and am constantly adding to my book collection. But I also have quite a few books that I no longer care to keep. Two sites that can help to sell those unwanted books are http://cash4books.net and http://sellbackyourbook.com
4. Cheaper to keep her... A site that has volunteers that can help to keep almost anything running is http://fixya.com I did look at this one for some help with my vehicle.
5. Buy unwanted gift cards. There are several sites where you can buy unwanted gift cards for up to 30% of face value. http://plasticjungle.com http://giftcardrescue.com and http://giftcardsagain.com
All in all there were 99 different tips on ways to cut out wasted spending and put a few dollars in your pocket by de-cluttering your house.
I would be interested in knowing if any one is using these services, or if you have other ideas for ways to cut spending.
