Choice Realty - Serving Crossville TN and making a difference. We all find ourselves having good intentions and wanting to do something good to help somebody. Sometimes we follow through and sometimes we don't. When I made the decision to completely change my business model from a traditional real estate company to a flat fee business model there were some big changes that needed to be made. Well yes I had to change all our contracts, our marketing had to change and some other things. But the biggest change that neede to take place was in my heart. You see the heart is where it all starts and where real change takes place. If the heart doesn't chnage then the change is only temporary at best.
What had to change in my heart were things like greed, oh yes, don't worry we all have seeds of greed in our heart. The bible talks alot about money and if you live long enough ~ you'll learn why. Most of what we do from day to day is motivated by selfish desires. Some of the other things that had to change were selfishness, self-centeredness, pride, worry about what other people think about me and on it goes. Nowadays we real estate professionals have to work alot harder than we used to and get the same results. Why in the world would anyone want to work harder and make less money? Because giving is the key to success. It's an universal and biblical principle. Today I am living proof of that. Since I changed over my business model my business has grown more than I could ever have imagined. Is it because we charge less money? I believe it's because my heart is to serve people with excellence for less money.
Excellence by the way, does not mean expensive. The ability to provide excellence in whatever you are doing isn't just for high end businesses. You can have a great food experience in an expensive restaurant, a family sandwich shop, a coffer shop or a hot dog stand. Price and value are not necessarily the same thing.
Remember my change of heart made me look inside myself and really deal with some hard issues. You see it's the sins that are inside that are the hard ones to conquer not the outer sins that have been gone for years. This heart change helped me see that what I do in my business is not about me ~ it's about the other person. Most people in the real estate business put down and don't appreciate a different business model then what they are doing. Is it because they don't understand it or have fear that it really is a better way? I can tell you that serving people with excellence is a better way ~ no matter how much you make doing it because the rewards go on for eternity.
