Moose Monday - Moose in the Sky, You Know How I Feel - Guess Which Direction I Am Headed?

I am heading to Yellowstone National Park and just before I head out of the house here are a couple of photos for Moose Monday.

Moose in the Sky

If the moose in the sky is a sign, I moose be headed towards some great photo shooting opportunities!  :)

Who knew that there are moose in the sky?    This one must have been on cloud 9.

I am sure I will soon be too as I am moosely excited to see and take photos of what awaits me in Yellowstone National Park.   I will go North, South , East and West and explore as many places as I can in Yellowstone and I will be on the lookout for you know what.   :)

Happy Moose Monday and have a great start to the week!

Hi Gerry - Have a very moosely time in Yellowstone.  I'm looking forward to your photos over the next few weeks.

In the meantime, this moose looks like he is planning to head to visit the great nation to the north, Canada.

We know exactly what you will be on the look out for in Yellowstone Gerry and we don't think it will be Yogi the bear!! Maybe you will be lucky to find 7 of those moosely beasts!

Oh, I'm so jealous. I lost all of my Yellowstone photos in the Great Hard Drive Crash of August 2005.

Gerry - I understand that an octupus correctly chose the World Cup winner.  So, it's only reasonable that a Moose would be able to show you which direction to take:-0

Marc,

I wish I could follow this moose on its journey North to Canada.   I have never been in the Canadian prairies.  Expect Yellowstone to be the primary source of my photos for the next little while.

Toni,

They do have moose, I know they do but I had not had the luck to capture one in Yellowstone National Park prior to this visit.  :)

Tony & Darcy,

Here in Red Lodge, we are lucky to have Yellowstone practically at our doorstep.   You may want to plan your first visit to Yellowstone in about 20 years after you see some of my photos.  At the least, my future photos should brink back some pleasant memories.

Al and Peggy,

Funny you mentioned, Yogi the bear.  I believe, I saw Smokey the bear, the one that advocates the importance of fire prevention, during our latest Red lodge parade.   I was moosely thinking of capturing the animal that has eluded me during all my previous visits to Yellowstone and that would be very fitting for my next Moose Monday post.  Just one would make me happy!  You moose believe it.  :)

Russel,

I am so sorry to learn about your Great HDC of August 2005.   This is a good reminder for me to choose the best photos and make sure to keep an extra copy somewhere in case of a HDC.   But you will make up for the lost photos of Yellowstone the next time you go and you will no doubt take photos that are more beautiful thanks to your new camera (update in technology) and your great photo skills (which you share with us on AR and that I have no doubt have also increased over the years).

Myrl,

That is one of the most funny comments I have received!  :)

Paul the Octopus was a perfect 8 for 8 (one right prediction per tentacle).  Of course, I knew about him having followed the World Cup on a daily basis and watched lots of the games during the knockout stage.  I enjoyed the article especially the video and hearing the beautiful Spanish language (muchas gracias para el "link").

I don't if it was Moosely Luck of Lucky the Moose but I did manage to head toward the right direction at the right time.  And you don't any octopus nor moose to let you know which day you will see the results via photos.  :)
