Minnesota is a great place to live!

I have been posting wonderful reasons to love St Cloud MN, as part of my hyper-local challenge to myself. I am very happy with where I live, and so is my wife who has a much broader basis for comparison having lived across this great country in many different areas.

It is one thing to hear from a local real estate agent that the city that they work in is a great town, but how about views from a disinterested 3rd party. Well how about Money Magazine for a source?

Minnesota is a great place to live!Money Magazine just selected 5 Minnesota cities for the top "100 Best Places to Live". The number one city on the list, well much as I would like to say it was St Cloud, it was not, the number one city for Money Magazine's top 100 list in 2010 is Eden Praire, MN. The 4 other cities from MN that were on the list are Plymouth, Woodbury, Eagan and Apple Valley all appearing in the top 20!

You can check out the top 100 with a short description of each city by going to the Money Magazine Best Places to Live list.

I still think St Cloud MN is the best.

I spent six years going to SCSU getting my RE degree. I loved St. Cloud and it loved me back, too much actually.

Brainerd is my first choice in the state. I have been to many places around the globe and the Brainerd Lakes Area is top notch, sans Jan-March.

The whole state is Fantastic, I really enjoy the Brainerd area too, and of course the cities have lots to offer, and I spent my first several years growing up along the Canadian border, there is something for everyone here in Minnesota. I like being in St Cloud cause I am only a short run to anywhere in the state.

Reuben: I heard about it in passing too, and had to look it up, it is nice to have our state noticed this way. 

Scott : I like Jan-March for the Ice fishing! and of course a time to regenerate before spring. Although Feb does not seem like the shortest month some years.
