I live in an "up and coming" neighborhood in Denver. Whole Foods moved in last year and in a month the Light Rail will open so my neighborhood should be considered "up and arrived." The number of kids that come around trick or treating tends to double each year. A few years ago I bought my three favorite bags of halloween candy, Snickers, Kit Kat, and Twix. When the kids showed up, I showed them all three bags and one kid yelled "SNICKERS PLEASE!" Then all the kids wanted Snickers. So from then on, I just bought Snickers. It's my favorite and the kids don't walk away disappointed when they come to my house.

My favorite Trick or Treating neighborhood gives out the full sized chocolate bars, Snickers, Almond Joy, Butterfinger, etc. It's funny but my kids don't like the chocolate bars so they never want to go to that neighborhood. They like Sour Patch Kids and Gummy Bears. Go figure.

I gave out Nerds Rope. You just gotta pick something you don't like. Actually it is almost 9 and I've given out 175 nerd ropes. A little after 8 I had to tap into my kids candy. That always goes over well. If the # of kids doubles in my neighborhood I might have to take out a second mortgage to pay for candy. Luckily I can probably find a great broker on Active Rain!
