Pictured to the right you’ll find the kitties most favorite place to be during the day— their outside enclosure weather and schedule permitting. If I’m not in a position during my day to 1) carry them out [individually] and 2) keep an ear open for any ’cat’-astrophe , then they have to stay indoors. Speaking from experience, pets are like perpetual two year olds with four feet and fur. And if you have more than one it isn’t a matter of if it’s just a matter of when they get into a disagreement. And as Cesar Milan says: we must be the pack LEADER. Or in my case the ’pride’ leader. I have found that treating the cats with respect and regard as being feline, but still establishing myself as the cat in charge I truly have cats that know what is expected of them and they comply with what I ask from them. None of them try to intentionally harm me no matter what I need or want to do for them. My cats let me use dental instruments to remove tartar build up on their teeth, clip their nails, brush them, and give them any medications. As a matter of fact, if any of cats know I am trying to catch any given one of them, they may try to elude me for a moment or two— but, since they see me as ‘the one in charge’ they will stop running and submit by laying down and allowing me to pick them up. Sometime’s the relationship I’ve been able to establish with this little pride of cats amazes ME! I consider my little pride such a blessing. A gift from my Father, the one who knows me best and lavishes me with His affection by indulging me of my love for His beloved creatures.
Life is about relationships. Finding the balance of what it takes to obtain and maintain this balance is key. We are all in this world together as humans, animals, vegetables and minerals. We are to be good and faithful stewards of all that God has given us. As servants of our king, Jesus Christ, treat ALL things with respect and in love. You’ll be amazed at what He will return to you.
