5 Tips to avoid delays in a Short Sale.

These 5 tips were given to me at a meeting with the VP of BANK of AMERICA.

1.Set appropriate expectations with sellers, buyers and buyer's agents so that all parties understand the complexity and resulting length of time a short sale can take.
2.Have to seller call Bank of America short sale support at (866) 880-1232 to get registered into the Equator Short Sale System.
3.Ensure that the property is listed in the MLS, and actively marketed for sale.
4.Review all documents for accuracy and clarity prior to uploading into the Equator system.
5.Work to get a release on any other outside liens (HOA, 2nd Loans) as early as possible.
