Saving on moving expenses

Here is a link to an article I saw about saving on moving expenses in RIS Media that I thought might be of interest to those who are moving.  Interesting what it says about timing the move (not on 15th or 30th of month which are busiest times) and some other common sense stuff we don't always consider.  I have done good ordering boxes from a place called U-line on the net and they deliver to your door.  I have also done a variation of the storage container or pods thing and it works great and saves a lot of money.  Craigs List is also great for finding used boxes, selling your extra stuff, and for finding moving labor.

Great article - I've moved more times than I can count but still saw some fresh ideas!  Good thing we did the labor ourselves . . . I totally would not have thought to tip the mover! Maybe that's why some people's stuff doesn't arrive in such good condition! :)

Maria,

Really good post.  Being a mortgage lender, sometimes I get questions about moving from my borrowers and this is great information I can share with them.  I appreciate it.
