Your town looks sooooo awesome! And the rodeo parade looks like it was alot of fun. Thanks for the post!
Chris,
You are welcome. It sure was lots of fun. We are now having another weekend of fun with the annual Beartooth Rally and Iron Horse Rodeo! For more details about this or any other events going on in Red Lodge, you are invited to check: www.redlodge.com
Ally,
You are welcome. Thank you for visiting this post and for your nice comments.
Looks like Red Lodge is THE place to be Gerry! It was a gorgeous day right? Love the little puppies standing at attention watcing the 'big dogs'! LOL! Was wondering if there were any moose and then we spotted them in picture 9!
Al and Peggy,
That Saturday, it was mainly overcast (good for those marching in the poarade) but the following day (July 4) was a gorgeous sunny day and not too hot which was perfect for the biggest of the 3 parades of that weekend.
I am glad you enjoyed the photos of the doggies (I am sure they were big supporters of the Beartooth Humane Alliance and enjoyed seeing their car int he parade).
I have a feeling that you enjoyed looking through the many photos in the post and trying to find the one that has moose. You were spot on with your finding! :)
Wow Gerry, thanks for taking me along on your parade fun. Gotta love those little gals in their cowboy hats and that boat was pretty awesome too! You certainly have a talent for capturing the moment, the truck w/ the guitar in front of the Red Lodge Rocks store was perfect timing, love it!!!
Cyndee,
Red Lodge knows how to throw a good parade! I am glad you could join in remotely. :)
Only when I was looking at my photos on the computer that I realized the precious moment captured with the guitar and the Red Lodge Rocks sign in the background. It caught me by surprise but I loved it too! :)
Gerry I get many of surprises too when I go to look at my photos on the PC....but they are usually sad surprises, LOL! Just when I thought I had the perfect shot it turns out I was wrong. I have just have keep on practicing :)
I remember when you posted about this Festival of Nations last year and thinking what a great town to foster pride in individual heritage, as well as to celebrate it in such an inclusive way! There is so much "ex-clusive" patriotism in some parts of the country it is really refreshing, plus it looks like it was great fun!
Cynthia,
Keep practicing and the sad surpirses will more and more change to happy surprises! :)
Cheryl,
You have very good memory visiting my last year's post on the Festival of Nations. :)
It is good to live in harmony and share pride and multiculturalism. Very fun too to discover different cultures (heritage, music, dance and my favorite, food).
I love the rodeo. I work referrals. If you are interested let me know.
